What happens during a coaching session, and how does it work?

A coaching session is a positive, structured, and inspiring experience. Each 60-minute session follows a consistent rhythm, but the focus shifts week to week depending on what’s most relevant for your child. Your son or daughter comes to the session with their own agenda; what they want to discuss, explore, or achieve. Often this relates to school, home life, friendships, or specific challenges that have come up recently. Together, we explore these topics using proven coaching tools and exercises designed to create breakthrough moments. As a coach, I’m their teammate, guiding them through reflective questions, helping them uncover solutions, and challenging limiting beliefs in a supportive way. Each of our 9 sessions fits into the Boost, Believe, Breakthrough framework, combining reflection with action. Before wrapping up, we set small, meaningful action steps for the week ahead. Between sessions, your child practices what they’ve discovered; sometimes it’s a simple mindset shift or trying out a new habit.

How is coaching different from therapy or counselling?

Therapists are medical professionals who often focus on understanding the past to heal emotional wounds or diagnose mental health challenges. Coaching, on the other hand, focuses on the present and future. It helps young people identify what’s holding them back now and empowers them with tools to move forward. In coaching, we’re equals, I’m on your child’s team. We explore questions that unlock insight, build confidence, and strengthen self-awareness. Rather than giving advice, I help them discover their own answers and take ownership of their progress. Coaching is about self-exploration, growth, and performance, while therapy is about healing and recovery. Both are valuable, but they serve different purposes.

Are you flexible on the number of sessions?

Our 3B Programme (Boost, Believe, Breakthrough) is a structured 9-session journey designed to give your child lasting tools for life. Because the process builds progressively, completing the full programme is key to getting the best results. We don’t offer single sessions unless a student has already completed the 3B Programme.

Qualifications include: PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education), International Coaching Federation (ICF) Trained Coach, Mental Health First Aid Qualification, Grief Recovery Counselling Qualification, The Awakened Man Coaching Certification (Masters Level), Meditation Teacher, Certified Breathwork Facilitator.

Do you offer sessions online or in person?

Both! We offer face-to-face coaching in Lisbon, Portugal, and online coaching sessions via Zoom for families around the world. This flexibility means your child can receive the same level of personal connection and support, wherever you’re based.
